“The only time I was 119 pounds is when I had MONO. On a magazine shoot and everyone was ‘freaking out over how good’ I looked,” the Shameless star, 31, wrote on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, July 31. “I had lost ten pounds and was gaunt and sick and felt faint … It totally messed with my head … You never know what someone is going through. If you’re having a tough time with body image, I promise you’re beautiful and this feeling will pass. Today is just a moment. Practice some self-care and reboot. Take a bath. Take a walk. Take a yoga class. Make a healthy nutritious meal and watch your favorite funny movie. Tomorrow is another day.”

Rossum also sent support to Beatriz, 37, who shared her own story via Instagram too. “Kim Kardashian saying what she weighs and her sisters complimenting her being so skinny is like eating my brain rn,” noted the Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress, 37. “There’s only one time in my life when I ever weighed 119 pounds. It was right in the middle of a terrible relationship, and intense eating disorder, and I thought that I could be thinner and look even better. Everyone kept complimenting me on how I looked, and I felt desperate to stay at that weight. It sucked.”

The Showtime actress wrote to Beatriz, “I love you and I support you and you’re beautiful and strong and powerful and a creative badass woman.”

Both actresses also reposted an empowering message about weight from the account @i_weigh. “How much did Florence Nightingale weigh when she founded modern nursing? How much did Rosa Parks weigh when she took a seat on that bus?” the note read. “How much did Malala Yousafzai weigh when she started writing about the lives of girls in Pakistan living under Taliban rule? You don’t know? That’s the right answer! Because it doesn’t matter.”

Rossum later took to Twitter to clarify her remarks. “To be clear, someone’s weight is between them and their health professionals. I have no opinion on this,” she penned on Wednesday, August 1. “My opinion is only on the danger of praising — even in jest — anorexia. Xo.”

Beatriz and Rossum’s remarks come days after Kardashian, 37, came under fire for sharing an Instagram Story video of her supermodel sister praising her fit physique.

“I’m really concerned. I don’t think you’re eating,” Jenner, 22, told the KKW Beauty founder on Sunday, July 29. Kardashian replied, “What? Oh, my God, thank you.”

Khloé, 34, also complimented the Selfish author, telling her that she looks “anorexic” near her waistline.

Shortly after, some fans slammed the famous family’s remarks. “I’m just gonna say this. Using the words ‘anorexic’ and ‘you look like you don’t eat’ as compliments is disgusting. Even if you’re using them as a joke. An eating disorder should never be used like that,” wrote on tweeter. Added another, “Kim Kardashian’s Instagram Story of her bragging about how skinny she is makes me wanna vom.”
