How Does Julianne Hough Stay So Fit?

She’s got a winning body! It’s been years since Julianne Hough competed on Dancing With the Stars, rehearsing for hours every day, but the time away has had no impact on her body!

The 27-year-old fitness enthusiast keeps busy even without DWTS, trying many different workout classes to keep it interesting.

“I do Body By Simone. I do CorePower Yoga. I have a trainer that I work out with sometimes, Astrid Swan. I go on hikes. I try to mix it up a bunch because I get bored pretty easily,” the multi-hyphenate tells Us Weekly. “I haven’t tried Rise Nation yet, and that’s like the tread-climber. It’s only a 30-minute class, but I think you’re dead after like three minutes. So I want to try that one for sure.”

While the Grease: Live actress — who’s engaged to hockey player Brooks Laich — has shared snaps of workouts with friends such as Nina Dobrev and Sarah Hyland, she hasn’t exercised much with her fiancé.

“[Brooks] does CrossFit, and he has his own kind of workout program,” the star says. “I’m sure we’ll probably do some stuff this summer like on the beach — he wants to do a bunch of beach workouts. But we really haven’t done a lot of workouts together. He’s so big and such a different kind of athlete than I am. So I don’t know if our workouts would be healthy for either one of us.”

No matter what the workout is, Hough tracks them all on her Fitbit, favoring the stylish Alta, with interchangeable fashionable bands.

“I think the steps are superfun because it kind of motivates you to up your steps each day,” the brand spokeswoman explains. “The sleep is actually really interesting to me, and that’s really exciting because when you kind of look each night and see how you slept, you can kind of gauge what you need to do for the next night or something like that to make you sleep better, stuff like that. So it’s kind of a little bit of a, like a little challenge: What can I do to make me sleep better? And then also, I mean, just the calories, as well, counting calories. I mean, I love it all really.”
