Jennifer Love Hewitt came to Anne Hathaway’s defense amid her pregnancy with baby No. 3. Hewitt, 47, took to her Instagram Story on Monday, August 10, to shut down body-shamers who claimed Hathaway’s bump looked “fake.”
“Anne Hathaway, you are perfection,” she wrote, while tagging the Devil Wears Prada star. “This woman has been working sooo hard. Handling it all with such grace and, by the way, looks incredible!”
Hewitt continued, “And now we are going to comment on her body while pregnant. Please stop talking about women’s bodies. Please leave women alone.”
Hathaway, 43, who is expecting her third child with her husband Adam Shulman, also responded to haters via Instagram on Tuesday, August 11. “Fake hair, real bump 😘 ✌️🦖🔥☀️🦕😅,” she captioned a clip of herself getting ready for the End of Oak Street premiere in Burbank, California. “Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!”
For the event, she showed off her baby bump in a sky blue top featuring a high-low silhouette that exposed her belly and cascaded into a cape. Her top was complete with a high neck and cherry red inside.
Hathaway teamed her top with low-rise jeans and pointed-toe red heels. She further accessorized with a diamond ring and matching dangly earrings.
For glam, she stunned with a bright red lip, filled-in eyebrows, dark eyeliner and long lashes. Her brunette hair was pulled back into a neat ponytail.
Hathaway announced that she and Shulman, 45, are expecting their third baby via Instagram in June. At the time, she shared a photo of herself cradling her bump. “x Baby I’m yours x,” she captioned the post. Hathaway and Shulman are already the parents of sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.
