Mischa Barton Sports Fuller Figure in Tiny Jean Shorts, No Makeup: Picture - Us Weekly

Mischa Barton is ready for spring in Cali! The O.C. star, 27, stepped out in L.A. on Monday, April 8 wearing a pair of daisy dukes.

Barton showed off her fuller figure in tiny, ripped jean shorts while grabbing a juice beverage. The actress went makeup-free during her outing and accessorized her cutoffs with a white T-shirt, black sweater and a choker necklace.

After ending her run on The O.C. in 2006, Barton made headlines when she was arrested on DUI charges and reportedly entered rehab. Since those troubles, she's tried to keep a low profile.

"Luckily, [I'm not] so much in the spotlight," Barton told The Daily Beast on March 26 in a rare interview while promoting her horror film, A Resurrection. "The craziness of The O.C. has died down and gone away."

"I'm so relieved it's not how it was," she said of the fame. "It's not the person. It was the time. Everything was an 'it' girl this or 'it' girl that. It was just over the top."

But Barton is excited about the future of her acting career. The London-born star says her next project is an indie film and "is one of the best films I've ever been offered."

"Things are heating up again," she said, "which is probably a good thing."
