Model Tess Holliday shut down body-shamers with a message about self-love.
Holliday, 41, was quick to reply to haters after sharing a pic of herself beaming on a yacht while wearing a green one-piece via Facebook on Saturday, August 22. “Another photo of me on a yacht in Italy just because my haters loved it so much,” she captioned the post. “Feeling blessed.”
Her swimsuit featured thin straps, high-cut legs and a cutout over her sides. She styled the number with a gold bracelet and matching earrings.
In the comments section, Holliday further clapped back at haters who accused her of editing the photo. “To anyone dumb enough to accuse me of doing AI this is the original photo I brightened my face,” she said, sharing the darkened image. “I was unaware that it made it look all weird but I don’t use AI and you guys can kick rocks.”
She then praised her supporters, writing, “For the ones showing me love: thank you! To everyone else: I hope you find the love within in yourself that you clearly need.”
In a separate post on Saturday, Holliday further opened up about chatter on her figure. “People have always made my body the most interesting thing about me. I never have,” she wrote. “I’m too busy living my life, loving myself, raising my kids, working, laughing, creating, and actually being happy.”
Holliday added, “Maybe if some of you spent a little less time obsessing over the size of my body and a little more time tending to your own lives, you’d be happier too.”
After seeing her response, several fans showed love and told her to brush off the criticism.“Happy people don’t focus on other people’s physical appearance,” one social media user wrote. Another added, “Ignore the negativity from the people.” A third commented, “Agree!!! This is why we love you! Cause you are you and showing us to live our best lives!”
