Yolanda Foster Has 20-Year-Old Leaky Breast Implant Removed to Help Alleviate Lyme Disease Symptoms

Yolanda Foster may be one step closer to finding a cure for her Lyme disease. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 51, shared a bathroom selfie, letting fans know that she had a leaking silicon implant removed on Friday, Aug. 7.

“Turn a mess into a message…….We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie. Thank you Dr.Feng for holding my hand and leading the way #UncoveringTheMystery #ChronicLymeDisease #ExPlantSurgery @FengClinic #MyHealthJourney #DeterminedToFindACure,” the ill reality star captioned the photo of her body covered by just a towel.

Sources confirm to Us the leaking implant was exacerbating the symptoms of her Lyme disease. Since removing both implants, doctors expect Foster’s condition to improve, although it’s unclear whether it will cure the Lyme disease.

The former model and mom of three was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and has been vocal about finding a cure, traveling all over the wolrd and meeting with various doctors. In January, Foster’s condition was so poor, she lost the ability to read and write, and was unable to film all of the Bravo show’s reunion special.

"I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can't process information or any stimulation for that matter,” she explained in her Bravo blog. “It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it.”

RHOBH has documented Foster’s battle against Lyme disease over the course of three seasons.
