Anna Faris and Chris Pratt’s 5-year-old son Jack has caught the acting bug — and the actress isn’t sure how she feels about it.
“He does little acting lessons now,” Faris told Us Weekly and other reporters at the L.A. Overboard premiere on Monday, April 30. “He’ll be like, ‘Mom, watch how scared I can look.’ Or he’ll give me a weird fake laugh.”
“It’s really fun to see the performance element come out in him,” Faris, 41, continued. “But I’m also like, ‘Please don’t go into acting!’”

The Mom star and Pratt, 38, announced in August 2017 that they were splitting after eight years of marriage. Four months later, they both filed divorce papers citing irreconcilable differences and listed July 13 as their of separation. Both remain committed to peacefully coparenting Jack.
Faris sees both herself and the Avengers: Infinity War actor in their little boy. “He’s really funny, I think,” she revealed on Monday. “Well, that’s sort of patting myself, I mean ourselves, on the back. But he’s really funny!”
In Overboard, Faris plays a mom of three girls. Though Faris admitted she would “love” the experience of having a mini-me, she’s nervous karma will come back to haunt her. As she told Us and other reporters: “I think I was kind of a little bit of a hellish daughter to my mom!”
Overboard opens in theaters on Friday, May 4 — and it has Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s seal of approval. When the couple heard Faris was starring in a remake of their 1987 romantic comedy, they took her out for a meal.
“Kurt was like, ‘I hear you’re redoing our movie.’ I was like, ‘uhhhhh,’ and he said, ‘We’re going to dinner tomorrow night,’” she recalled. “It was like a dream came true, [but] at the same time, unbelievably terrifying. So we went out to dinner and they said at the end, ‘Alright, so we give you our blessing.’”
