Does Beyonce want fans to read between the lines? The “Love on Top” singer has been plagued with pregnancy rumors in the past few weeks, and though she has yet to publicly comment on the reports of a little brother or sister for 16-month-old Blue Ivy, the superstar may have just sent a message out to her fans in the form of a strategically shared dinner menu.
The 31-year-old singer shared a snapshot of the impressive menu on her Tumblr, with one dish noticeable in the foreground: Salad Nicoise, or tuna salad. The pair is currently in the South of France, where they spent a little down time together aboard a luxury yacht on Tuesday, May 21.
The fish has long been considered a controversial food for expectant mothers due to its high level of mercury, so Beyonce’s decision to post a menu highlighting the dish may suggest that the “Grown Woman” singer is, indeed, not pregnant. Or, conversely, Bey could have just been hungry for some salad.
The superstar’s husband of five years has been a tad more open about the pregnancy talk. In a Monday, May 20 broadcast that was videotaped for a YouTube clip, Hot 97 radio program director Ebro Darden shared an email that he had received from Jay-Z himself denying the rumors that he and Beyonce were expecting for a second time.
“I hit him up to say congratulations, send my love to the fam,” Darden said, adding that Jay-Z replied that “it’s not true.” (A source close to the radio station confirms to Us Weekly that the email exchange took place.)
Rumors that Beyonce may have another bun in the oven surfaced earlier this month after the singer canceled her show in Antwerp, Belgium due to extreme exhaustion and dehydration, which she later apologized for on her Facebook page.
“To my dearest fans in Antwerp. I’ve never postponed a show in my life,” she wrote. “It was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. I’m sorry if I disappointed you.”
