She’s here! Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Maverick, on Sunday, March 17.
The couple made the announcement on Graf’s podcast “Now What?!” on Wednesday, March 20, with Nickson revealing that his wife underwent an emergency C-section after experiencing high blood pressure. “After all the prep and everything, 15 minutes later on St. Patrick’s Day, our little bundle of joy arrived,” he gushed, adding that Maverick weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 18 1/2 inches long.
The Big Brother alum, who met and fell in love on season 19 of the show, announced that they were expecting a child in September 2018. “WE’RE PREGNANT! And I’m over the moon!” Graf, 28, captioned their Instagram reveal at the time. “I’m so excited to bring our first child into this life we have created together!”
The Amazing Race alum added: “I’ve been pretty quiet on Instagram lately. I’ve been avoiding posting stories and photos as much as I normally do because we’ve been taking this time to really enjoy all the great blessings we have in our life. Considering our engagement was leaked before we could tell anyone, it’s been so great to be able to share our new addition with our loved ones before making this announcement!”
While this is Graf’s first child, Nickson, 33, has a daughter, Paisley, from a previous relationship. She served as the flower girl when the reality stars tied the knot a month after their pregnancy announcement.
Some of the couple’s Amazing Race and Big Brother castmates attended the ceremony, including Alexander Rossi. She told Us Weekly exclusively, “It was a gorgeous wedding and a ton of fun. Cody and Jess have become great friends to me and my girlfriend, Kelly. It was super fun to be there with Conor [Daly].”
Graf debuted her baby bump in December 2018 when she hit the 22-week mark of her pregnancy.
“I’ve had a lot of people ask me to post photos of my bump, and honestly, I’ve chosen not to because people online can be TROLLS!” she captioned the post. “I’m very confident, and rude comments don’t bother me anymore. I’ve developed thick skin for it and I’ve also developed one hell of a ‘Blocked’ list so I don’t see most of it. The few rude comments I do see, Cody and I enjoy laughing at because the effort put in to hurt someone you have never mets feelings, it’s pretty pathetic!”
