Blac Chyna threw a mermaid-themed first birthday party for her daughter, Dream Kardashian, on Saturday, November 11.
The elaborate celebration at her L.A. home featured a woman dressed as a mermaid performing in the pool, balloons spelling out the toddler’s name as well as a dessert table laden with sweet treats including a five-tier cake, cupcakes and cake pops.
Dream, whose father is Blac Chyna’s ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian, went through a couple of costume changes at the party. She was seen wearing a Givenchy T-shirt and pink tulle tutu with a matching hat as the partygoers serenaded her with “Happy Birthday,” and her mom, 29, also shared a pic on Instagram of the little girl wearing a hot-pink shell bikini top with an iridescent blue mermaid tail.
TMZ reports that Chyna’s rumored boyfriend Playboy Carti was in attendance, but none of the Kardashians were present at the bash, which was held on the same day as Kim Kardashian‘s baby shower (the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is expecting a third child with husband Kanye West via surrogate).
Rob held a separate birthday party for his only child on Friday, November 10, and that celebration had several of his family members in attendance — Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Kylie Jenner, celebrated with two pink cakes, including one that featured a sweet picture of Dream.
Rob and Chyna, who called off their engagement at the end of last year, came to a custody arrangement over their daughter in September.
“Chyna is pleased that Rob has agreed to peacefully coparent Dream with her, as she has been requesting all along,” Chyna’s attorney Lisa Bloom told Us Weekly in a statement at the time, noting that Kardashian doesn’t have “more than 50 percent custody.”
But that’s not the only dispute that Chyna is having with the Kardashian clan. As Us Weekly reported in October, the Lashed Bar owner is suing the whole family, claiming they are responsible for the end of her reality show, Rob & Chyna.
In documents obtained by Us, Chyna alleged that she, Rob, E! and their production company were all interested in shooting a second season of the series, but the Kardashians used their “power and influence over the E! network to kill the second season.”
Khloé, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, and Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner are all named in the lawsuit.
