Every child’s nightmare! Blue Ivy Carter had a priceless reaction while watching a video interlude of her parents, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, in bed together for their On the Run II tour.
The 6-year-old attended the Grammy-winning couple’s show at London Stadium on Friday, June 15. One fellow concertgoer captured a hilarious video of Blue covering her eyes and hiding behind a barrier in the audience when the interlude started playing. At one point, Blue even grimaced and shook her head. However, her young female friend appeared to be amazed and barely took her eyes off the screen.
The clip eventually made the rounds on social media, and fans were loving it. “Blue ivy is so dam [sic] funny yo,” one Twitter user wrote. Another tweeted, “BLUE IVY IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL.”
The adorable moment came one day before Beyoncé, 36, and Jay-Z, 48, shocked the world with the unexpected release of their long-rumored joint album, Everything Is Love. The couple — who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in April — also dropped a music video for the project’s lead single, “Apes–t,” which they secretly filmed at the Louvre museum in Paris.
On the nine-track LP, the Tidal founder revealed for the first time how he met his wife at MTV’s Spring Break festival in Cancun, Mexico, in March 2000. They sat next to each other on the flight home to New York City, but didn’t see each other again until two years later when she wrapped up her international tour with Destiny’s Child.
“You kept me on the phone while you were away / You came back, I let you set the date, Nobu on the plate,” he raps. “I brought my dude to play it cool, my first foolish mistake.”
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are also the parents of twins Rumi and Sir, 12 months.
