Bruce Springsteen is going to be a grandpa — again — as his daughter, Jessica Springsteen, prepares to welcome her first baby.
“New adventures 🥰❤️,” Jessica, 34, and her boyfriend, Nicola Philippaerts, wrote in a joint Saturday, October 20, Instagram post, alongside an image of the equestrian cradling her growing baby bump.
The couple, who have been together since 2024, received a flurry of support from their celebrity friends in the comments section.
“Soooo excited for you guys!! ❤️❤️,” Lindsay Vonn replied.
Jessica is the only daughter of Bruce, 77, and his wife, Patti Scialfa, who also share sons Evan, 36, and Samuel, 32. (Samuel welcomed his first child, daughter Lily, in 2022, with fiancée Grace.)
“I watch my youngest son with his daughter, [and] he’s a better dad than I was — already,” the “Born to Run” singer confessed while appearing on a June 2025 episode of Michelle Obama’s “IMO” podcast, gushing over Sam’s bond with Lily. “That gives me great pride. I go, ‘Well, he’s really doing it right, you know.’”
While Bruce has yet to publicly address Jessica’s pregnancy, he has long been proud of her personal and professional accomplishments.

“Oh my gosh, they were so excited,” Jessica said during a 2021 appearance on the Today show, discussing her parents’ reactions to finding out she made the Olympic team. “They’ve supported me since I was little, and this has been, you know, a huge dream of mine ever since I can remember.”
She continued, “The sport has become such a passion for them, as well. So, I feel like, [we have] been on this journey together. They were so proud of me and so happy.”
Bruce and Scialfa, 73, primarily raised their children outside of the limelight despite their worldwide acclaim. (Scialfa famously plays in Bruce’s E Street Band.)
“When they were little, if they heard me on the radio they would go, ‘Bruce Springsteen!’ It was their way of separating their dad from this abstract character who also seemed to be a part of their lives,” Bruce told The Times of London in 2024. “A lot of times, we just didn’t expose them to it.”
He added at the time, “They came to concerts a few times before going back to their rooms to play video games, and didn’t know much about it beyond what they may have read.”
While Bruce’s kids all continued supporting his career, they eventually “chose their own lives” as adults.
