Cardi B is continuing to play coy about the ongoing rumors that she’s pregnant and expecting her first child with her fiancé, Offset.
“I just feel like people just gotta tune in a little bit on my album and they will know a little bit more because I can’t address all the rumors and everything,” the 25-year-old rapper — who released her debut, Invasion of Privacy, on Friday, April 6 — said during a new interview with Apple Music’s Beats 1 host Ebro Darden.
“I have been so open to people about myself,” she continued. “People cannot expect me to be open about everything. Certain things to me, it has to be private. You cannot invade my privacy. I’m not a damn animal at the zoo that you could just see everything. No! People just will find out more. If it arrives and if it don’t arrive, then you gonna know what the f–k is goin’ on.”
The rumors began in February when TMZ reported that members of Cardi’s team told a Super Bowl event staffer that the “Bodak Yellow” MC was three to four months into her pregnancy. She denied it at the time, writing on Instagram, “No bitch I’m just getting fat. Let me be fat in peace.” A month later, the website again reported that Cardi has a baby on the way, claiming she is due in July and still plans to perform at the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, in mid-April.
Cardi and Offset, 26, became engaged in October after he proposed on stage during a concert in Philadelphia. The couple faced multiple cheating allegations in the months that followed after two sex tapes that surfaced online appeared to show the Migos member with other women. He refused to address the rumors in an interview with Rolling Stone in January, saying, “It’s my real life. It ain’t no gig.”
The former stripper wasn’t fazed either. “Cardi lives and breathes Offset,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively in January. “He has committed to her and they’re both very happy and stronger than ever now. She has zero intention of leaving him.”
