Teen Mom 2 alum Chelsea Houska has watched her eldest daughter, Aubree, grow up before her very eyes.
“17. They say it goes by fast but wow,” Chelsea, 35, wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 7. “To think that she is the same age I was when I first found out I was having her is … wild.”
She continued, “I love the person she is and I’m excited to see [the] woman she will become. Happy HAPPY birthday Aubree ❤️.”
In Chelsea’s upload, she shared a selfie of herself and husband Cole DeBour posing with the teen, who rocked teal-colored hair with blunt-cut bangs.
Chelsea, who shares Aubree with her ex-boyfriend Adam Lind, and Cole, 38, are parents of three younger children.
“We actually don’t get sick of each other,” Chelsea exclusively told Us in November 2025 of working with Cole on HGTV’s Down Home Fab. “We just have so much fun. We always do little lunch dates [so] we’re kind of lucky that we get to be together so much.”
According to Cole, Chelsea is his “best friend” and it was an easy decision to work together. (The HGTV couple also run their own boutique.)
“One thing I’ve learned is that it’s OK to have a team and give them things to do rather than trying to do everything yourself,” he said, before Chelsea also noted that she’s learned to “accept help” in their endeavors.
“Coming into the HGTV world, we were new to the game, and we were just new to remodeling in general,” Chelsea told Us at the time. “Getting that confidence over the last three years, I’m like, OK, now we’re here and we deserve to be here. I’m such an HGTV fan, so the fact that we get to meet the people I’ve watched on TV, I’m like, ‘This is so cool.’”
In addition to their thriving decorating businesses, Chelsea and Cole have kept their family a top priority.
“She has such a unique sense of style. She’s so into makeup, which maybe is taking after me a little bit, I like to say. It’s just really crazy,” Chelsea previously told Us in March 2025, specifically gushing over Aubree. “Everyone always says, ‘Aubree’s 15? That makes me feel so old.’ I know! Imagine how I feel. I feel so old, but she’s just so cool and confident, and I love that so much about her.”
For Chelsea, she was especially “proud” of Aubree’s inner self-confidence.
“I’m so proud of her. Just thinking back to how I was when I was her age, I just remember being like, I always wanted to follow the crowd, or I wanted to be someone I wasn’t,” the MTV alum mused. “She’s just so sure of herself and confident in her sense of style and who she is. I think that is just so cool about her.”
