Anyone who follows Chrissy Teigen on social media is familiar with her charming and hilarious mom, Vilailuck. (Just watch her reenact the “I don’t want your life scene” from Varsity Blues!) The supermodel’s dad, Ron, however, remains more of an enigma.
“So my mom lives with us,” Teigen told Us Weekly and other reporters at the Vita Coco Coconutmilk Brunch in West Hollywood, on Wednesday, January 24. “Everybody is like, ‘Where’s your dad?’”
Turns out Ron lives just 10 minutes away and is a regular visitor at Teigen and John Legend’s $14 million Beverly Hills mansion. “He comes by every day and they’re married,” Teigen, 32, explained to Us. “It just works for them. It’s a good family life. We’re all very close, very tight–knit.”
While Ron won’t be moving in any time soon, Teigen’s house will soon have one more resident. The mom of Luna, 21 months, is expecting baby No. 2 — and she’s craving all the foods that pregnant women are supposed to avoid, such as cold cuts, which can contain Listeria bacteria. “I want a cold, Subway deli sandwich at all times,” she confessed. “I would love a good margarita, like, a cold margarita.”
In the meantime, Teigen tells Us she’s been filling up on cold cereal mixed with vanilla coconut milk — and Legend’s home–cooked cuisine. “I’m kind of tired and pregnant . . . and he really takes over,” she gushed to Us about her R&B singer husband of four years. “The only thing I don’t like about him cooking is that it takes me away from him for a long time because he’s very slow in the kitchen. Like, painfully slow. And sometimes I can hear him from the living room chopping slowly . . . but it’s so cute because he loves to do it.”
The Cravings cookbook author announced she and Legend, 39, are expecting their second child with an adorable Instagram video in November. In the sweet clip, she asked her daughter, “Luna, what’s in here?” prompting the toddler to respond excitedly, “BB!”
