It’s been five weeks since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s 21-month-old daughter Luna became the proud owner of a Fisher-Price food truck — and miraculously the toddler hasn’t lost interest. As parents of small children know, this is pretty major.
“It’s her big thing right now. She’s obsessed with it,” Teigen, 32, told Us Weekly at the Vita Coco Coconutmilk Brunch in West Hollywood, on Wednesday, January 24.
Though Teigen has shared Instagram photos of Luna’s top toys including Tickle Me Elmo and Little Tikes’ Princess Horse & Carriage — she says her first-born’s most favorite thing happens to be a $1.99 nail file.
“She’s really crazy about filing nails,” Teigen told Us, adding that when her manicurist Kimmie Kyees comes around Luna “watches her nonstop.” And she takes mental notes. Says Teigen: “Luna will take the file and file the bottom of my mom’s feet!”
Luna will soon have to share her loot. Teigen and her R&B singer husband of four years are expecting their second child. The supermodel says she and Legend will likely take a baby moon (tweet her Zika-free suggestions!) but she doesn’t want a baby shower.
“I saved a lot of things from Luna. We have a pretty complete storage unit,” Teigen explained. “If anything I would like to beg people to stop sending us things!”
Teigen announced she and Legend, 39, are expanding their family with an adorable Instagram video in November. In the sweet clip, she asked Luna, “What’s in here?” promoting the toddler to respond excitedly, “BB!”
