Christine Lakin is not ready to become a family of four! The Hollywood Darlings actress is currently pregnant and expecting her second child – a baby boy – with her husband, Brandon Breault. “I’m terrified! I have no idea what I’m doing,” she joked exclusively to Us Weekly at the Bloom Summit event in Beverly Hills on Saturday, June 2. “I learn as I go.”
The couple, who tied the knot in 2014, are already parents of daughter Georgia, 2. “She loves other kids and I think she’s going to love being a big sister, so fingers crossed,” she added. “That’s all I really can do at this point, because it’s happening! There’s no return policy on children.”
Lakin admits that this pregnancy is a lot harder than when she carried Georgia. At six months, she feels “way bigger” and has experienced more kicking. “I’m very hungry. So I’m eating all of my pregnant feelings. Donuts, chips and all the things I shouldn’t be eating,” she told Us one day earlier at the Step Up Inspiration Awards. “I shouldn’t say that because my doctor called me on the way here. I’m sure he’s going to tell me I’m doing something wrong!”
The Step by Step alum, who says she’s done at two kids, has tried to squeeze in some date nights as of late. They don’t have a nanny, but they do have a “little arsenal of sitters” that help out.
“We try not to sit on the couch and watch TV together every night, even though that’s all I want to do right now because I am so tired at 9:00 p.m,” Lakin told Us. “He plays guitar for me. We play games and we play backgammon. We’re like an old, old couple. We try to do other things that are just connective tissues between the two of us. It’s important now because come September it’s gonna be a freakin mad house at our house. We’re going to survive, but it’s gonna be insane.”
In the meantime, Lakin just wishes for more foot rubs! “I wish he were spoiling me more, to be frank with you,” she cracked. “I’ve told him he gives the worst foot rubs known to man.”
In-between the (hopefully!) future massages, perhaps the couple can discuss names for their baby boy. “I think boy names are really hard. If it were up to him, he would name him Arrow or Wolf or something crazy. It might just come to that because I don’t know if I have the brainpower to think of anything else,” she told Us. “Georgia was a name I always loved. I’m from there. We had a couple others, but I wanted an older name that wasn’t very popular. That in my mind was always the frontrunner. I let him believe that he had awesome options, and at the end I was like, ‘Don’t you think Georgia is perfect?’”
