Elizabeth Hurley had a new man on her arm at the London premiere of her racy E! show The Royals at the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Tuesday, March 24 — her nearly teenage son Damian!
Looking dapper and handsome in a smart suit and purple tie, Damian, who turns 13 next month, accompanied his mother to the high-profile event, looking totally grown up as he held her hand and walked with her down the Union Jack patterned carpet.
Nearly as tall as his 49-year-old mother, Damian (whose father is American businessman and film producer Steve Bing) appeared unfazed by the media interest and photographers, smiling broadly as he took his mom by the arm to walk with her into the event.
Talking on British daytime TV show This Morning, Hurley revealed her son (whose godfather is Hurley's ex, Hugh Grant) had spent a lot of time on the set of her new TV venture as it filmed last year.
"Last summer, during his vacation from school he was on the film set and he loved every single second of it," the proud mom revealed. "He adores it. He really wants to do it," she added of her son's interest in the movie business, adding he's not sure if he wants to be in front or behind the camera yet.
Hurley, who stepped out of the limelight to raise her son, is excited to be back at work now that he's almost a teen.
"It was very interesting for me doing television because I’d done movies for years, and then I took quite a lot of time off to raise my son and then when I came back into the industry, this was the opportunity and it was television,” she said during an interview with MIPCOM about her new role. “But I’ve always been a massive fan of television. I think you have some of the best writing, some of the best producing, and some of the best acting anywhere coming out of television.”
