Bebe Rexha shared a special moment between her and Taylor Swift.
Rexha, 37, opened up about an interaction she had with Swift, 36, that stayed with her through the years while attending the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. “I remember when I had the whole Grammys situation and I couldn’t find a dress, and she had reached out to me because we’re the same age,” the singer told E! News.
“And I thought that was really, really, really kind of her. Like, nobody really reached out,” Rexha said, referring to the 2019 Grammys when she had a hard time finding a designer that would dress her.
Rexha continued, “Some people did, you know? But for her, at such a high level, to kind of make me feel like I belonged, was really, really nice.”
Back in 2019, Rexha took to Instagram to call out designers that wouldn’t dress her body type. “So I finally get nominated at the Grammys and it’s like the coolest thing ever,” she began in the since-deleted video. “And a lot of times artists will go and talk to designers and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet. So I had my team hit out a lot of designers and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big.”
She added, “So all the people that said that I’m thick and I can’t wear dresses? F*** you, I don’t want to wear your f***ing dresses.”
“Literally, like, they [say], I’m too big. And if a size 6, 8, is too big, then I don’t know what to tell you,” the hitmaker went on to say. “Then I don’t want to wear your f***ing dresses. ‘Cause that’s crazy. ‘Cause all … you’re saying that all the women in the world that are size 8 and up are not beautiful, and they cannot wear your dresses.”
She continued in the comments section, “If you don’t like my fashion style or my music that’s one thing. But don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size. Empower women to love their bodies instead of making girls and women feel less than by their size. We are beautiful any size! Small or large!”
