A growing Empire! Kaitlin Doubleday announced on Monday, October 29, that she is pregnant and expecting her first child in February with husband Devin Lucien.
In the Instagram snap, the 34-year-old cradled her baby bump while gazing into the eyes of her DJ love. “Well, I’ve been wearing pretty tents, not partying at weddings, [and] eating everything in sight,” the Empire alum began in her caption. The mom-to-be then revealed she has been dreaming about red wine, raw sushi and Advil, which are widely considered pregnancy don’ts. Doubleday added she has been “thanking the pregnancy Gods” that her nausea has subsided.
According to Doubleday, the baby boy has been moving around quite a bit. “I’m growing a f—king human inside my belly!” she wrote. “(Although now he really more like an incredibly strong fish . . . maybe even a baby dolphin.) And he’ll be here around Valentine’s Day 2019!”
She continued: “Wow, it feels pretty official now that it’s on social media. I can’t believe I’m gonna be someone’s mom. Pray for us!”
The star’s former castmates Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard both congratulated her on the exciting news.
The Catch Me If You Can actress and Lucien tied the knot in May 2016. The couple had an instant connection.
“I trust him more than I’ve ever trusted anyone,” she gushed to Us Weekly the year they were married. “Which I think is how you’re supposed to feel. It was easy. It was exciting and easy from the beginning. I Just trusted that we were going to be OK.”
