Dad is still on duty! Hilarie Burton made sure husband Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s presence was known as she rested with their infant daughter.
“Am I a dork for wearing a shirt with @jeffreydeanmorgan face on it?? Sorry, not sorry! Daddy is here to represent during naptime!” the One Tree Hill alum, 36, captioned an Instagram photo of herself and the pair’s 6-month-old daughter, George Virginia, on Tuesday, August 21.
Burton’s sweet snapshot of herself in a shirt depicting Negan, her hubby’s cruel character on The Walking Dead, comes five months after she and Morgan, 52, revealed the first photos of their baby girl, who they “love very much.”
“I see her in her daddy’s arms and I don’t take any of it for granted. She screams bloody murder and I smile because she is so wildly alive,” Burton wrote on Instagram in March after revealing the couple’s struggle to conceive. “So now that folks know she’s here, I don’t want her birth to cause any other woman to weep at her kitchen table. If anything, my wish is that she would restore hope for others. Fertility is a fickle thing. And for the other couples out there who have had dark days, we want to introduce our miracle baby to you and send you our love and support in finding yours.”
The White Collar actress and The Walking Dead star, who tied the knot in 2014, also share 8-year-old son Augustus. Morgan opened up about fatherhood during his April appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern show and revealed that the family of four have no plans to expand further.
“We’re tapping out. I’m 52. Two is perfect. A boy and a girl,” he affirmed. “We tried since Gus was born to have another and hit a rough go … lost a couple. It was an emotional ride. So now we have our little girl. We’re done.”
