Baby on board! Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert announced in January that they’ve got their second child on the way, but it took the Bachelor in Paradise stars 10 months to conceive.
“I’m 13 weeks,” the Naturally Jade cosmetics founder, 32, told Us Weekly at the OK!, Star, In Touch, Life & Style Pre-Grammys Party on Thursday, February 7. “We were trying for 10 months and got pregnant in November.”
Roper hinted at this in her pregnancy announcement, writing on Instagram that she and Tolbert, 31, had been “dreaming” of the little one “for awhile now.” She added: “Baby #2 is joining our crew!! We are overjoyed our bundle of love will be joining us in August! … You are already loved beyond imaginable, sweet baby.”
Her husband shared an announcement photo featuring the pair’s daughter, Emerson, that same day. “By the looks of that smile… it looks like Emmy is excited to be a big sister,” he captioned the family shot. “Baby #2 coming to an Instagram near you August 2019.”
The reality star couple welcomed Emerson in August 2017, and Roper told Us about their daughter’s personality.
“[She] is super cuddly and affectionate,” the ABC personality said. “I think that is a big characteristic of mine. … Her favorite thing to do is to take toilet paper, put it in the toilet, get it soaked, take it out and leave chunks everywhere. She loves to explore. They are like giant spit wads!”
So how are she and her husband, who tied the knot in 2016, keeping the romance alive with a toddler — and a newborn on the way?
“Our motto is to take advantage of nap time,” the Colorado native revealed to Us. “When the baby is napping, it is mommy and daddy time.”
