Congratulations are in order for Josh Charles and Sophie Flack. The Good Wife alum and former ballerina, 34, welcomed their second child, a girl, on Wednesday, August 22, the actor announced on social media.
The newborn joins 3-year-old brother Rocco. Charles, 46, shared a video on Instagram on Thursday of his dressing room at the Hayes Theatre, where he’s currently Straight White Men. The room was covered in pink! “Our daughter timed her birth so I could make yesterday’s doubleheader. It was a day I’ll never forget,” he captioned the video.
Flack took to Instagram in February to reveal that she and her actor husband were expanding their family. In the snap, the Bunheads author showed off her baby bump while wearing a T-shirt that read: “I Woke Up Like This.”
Charles, 46, who currently stars in Broadway’s Straight White Men with Armie Hammer, was made for family life. In April 2017, Charles gushed about his Sunday morning tradition. “I make waffles or pancakes, or I’ve made slow-cook oatmeal the night before,” he told The New York Times. “It’s a nice way to wake up. The house smells like cinnamon.”
After breakfast, the dad shuttles Rocco to swimming lessons. “He’s learning to feel comfortable in** the** water, blowing bubbles, ducking head under, sort of diving into your arms,” gushed Charles. “It’s really a nice experience.”
Flack showed off her sense of humor while documenting her second pregnancy on Instagram. On July 5, she shared a picture of herself sniffing booze. “Smelling @hancas’ tequila after a rough day of parenting,” she captioned the photo. “#a—hole parent.” Nine days later, she boasted about booking a home massage, “because mama’s lugging around a fetus the size of a cantaloupe, mama’s childcare fell through today, and mama ti.”
Charles and Flack tied the knot in September 2016.
