Margulies went on to recall her “favorite” recent email exchange with the 57-year-old Oscar winner, in which she asked Clooney how he was doing with parenting twins Ella and Alexander. His response? “I just can’t believe there’s so much poop.”

She continued: “And I said, ‘Oh brace yourself, my friend, they haven’t even started eating solids yet!’”

The interview comes just two days before Clooney and the 40-year-old lawyer’s twins turn 1 years old. Us Weekly confirmed in February 2017 that the couple — who wed in a gorgeous ceremony in Venice, Italy, at the seven-star Aman Venice hotel in September 2014 — were expecting.

The Money Monster actor gushed over their brood in an interview on French program Rencontres de Cinema in February 2017. “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure,” he revealed. “We’ve embraced it with arms wide open.”

One month prior to the arrival of their twins, a source told Us Weekly that “[George is] getting a little anxious about the babies’ arrival, but he’s nervous and excited, in a good way!”

Margulies and Clooney starred alongside each other on the medical drama for five seasons before the actor left the hit NBC show in 1998. He returned for a brief appearance in season 15 when Magulies’ Carol Hathaway left the show.
