In part two of her Today show interview, Kate Gosselin defends her decision to headline another reality show with her eight children.
Twist of Kate, which premieres this summer on TLC, follows the single mother, 35, as she raises her kids and as she profiles other women who are also in their own challenging situations.
"I don’t see another option — I have eight children to provide for," she said (see clip, above). "This is a great opportunity. It's certainly not going to cut the mustard working 12-hour shifts, six days a week as a nurse."
She said the show is an "opportunity I have that I have grasped onto and I am enjoying what I am doing."
Gosselin also addressed ex Jon, who is now seeking primary custody of their eight children.
She said she is sorry she was so harsh to him in the past (she once scolded him for "breathing" too loudly).
"I learned that in the heat of the moment I have a sharp tongue, and looking back there are probably a lot of people that I love that I probably spoke to inappropriately," she said. "Those are the people that are beside you to support you and love you. I’ve really learned to watch what I say."
Does she regret some of the remarks she's made?
Said the reality mom, "Everybody in life says things at times that they regret."
