April 29, 2013 looks a lot different from April 29, 2011 — and so does Kate Middleton! The Duchess of Cambridge, now 31, made a solo appearance at the Naomi House Children’s Hospice in Hampshire, England on her second wedding anniversary. Now six months pregnant, Middleton didn’t take pains to hide her baby bump in a lovely peach dress made by her very own royal dressmaker, topped with a similarly toned cotton twill coat by Tara Jarmon. Upon arrival, the Duchess (sans Prince William) was given a bouquet of flowers by Sally Evans, an 8-year-old girl who suffers from spinal muscular atrophy. “Sally wished her happy anniversary and said how nice it was she chose to come and see us today. Kate said ‘thank you,'” Sally’s mother, Sara Evans, told Us Weekly. Little Sally uses Naomi House for 16 days a year for respite care.
During her anniversary-day visit, the pregnant royal toured the facilities and met with other kids and their families plus staff, volunteers and charity supporters.
She and William, 30, had to make do with an anniversary celebration — a quiet romantic dinner in London — three days in early in London on Friday, April 26. The Duke is away on Monday, tending to Royal Air Force duties.
