Out and about! Katy Perry went shopping nearly three weeks after her and Orlando Bloom’s daughter Daisy’s arrival.
The singer, 35, wore a green dress with pink embroidery and matching sliders during her Saturday, September 12, excursion in Santa Barbara, California. The Grammy nominee covered her face with a straw visor and a face mask, in photos published by The Daily Mail.
The American Idol judge and her fiancé, 43, announced the birth of their baby girl last month with UNICEF’s help.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the engaged couple wrote in a statement at the time. “In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a [UNICEF] donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your heart can bloom with generosity.”
Perry and the actor, who is also the father of son Flynn, 9, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, held the little one’s hand in the black-and-white social media debut. The “I Kissed a Girl” singer’s thumbnail was painted with a daisy.
The California native “won the battle” over their infant’s name, a source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “She was pulling for the moniker Daisy, but Orlando liked Fiona.”
The insider explained that the Lord of the Rings star thought that Fiona “sounded good” alongside his son’s name.
Earlier this month, another source exclusively told Us that the American Music Award winner is not putting her career “on the back burner” after becoming a mom.
“She wants to submerge herself into motherhood as much as she can, but … there are already discussions about upcoming projects and work,” the insider explained. “Katy and Orlando do have help with the baby, but Katy insists on handling almost all of the baby needs.”
The source added that Bloom “does have plans to start traveling and working soon … [but] also wants to enjoy this process,” noting that he “is very happy about fatherhood and being a new dad again.”
