Top secret! Khloé Kardashian revealed the toughest part of keeping her pregnancy a secret was not being able to share the happy news with her family right away.
Kardashian, 33, — who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson — has been sharing details about her journey on her Khloe With a K website since the pair announced they were expecting in December. “Even though expecting a baby is SO exciting, the first trimester can be the worst,” she wrote in a post on Wednesday, January 17. “The worst part was keeping this major secret from my family, though!”
Fans got to see the Revenge Body star struggling to hide the secret from her siblings in a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kardashian and the Cleveland Cavaliers player told their friends and family that they were expecting during the Monday, January 16, episode of the reality show. Prior to their announcement, Kourtney Kardashian asked the mom-to-be about her weight. “You’ve gained a few pounds,” she bluntly told her pregnant sister on camera.
“I’m with my sisters pretty much every single day, so it was hard to not be able to say why I was so sick or couldn’t do certain things,” the Good American designer wrote in the post. The reason the couple had to keep the baby news a secret was that they wanted everyone in their families to find out at the same time, which was difficult to do. “We wanted to tell everybody at one time, which made things even more tricky,” she wrote. “How do you get all those people together in one room?! — but it was so amazing when we finally did!”
Us Weekly exclusively revealed in September that the pair were expecting but the E! personality says that keeping the news from people outside of her family didn’t take as much effort. “Keeping the secret from the outside world wasn’t as big of a deal for me,” she wrote. “I believe there are certain things that need to be held private and for yourself. It was beautiful to have something that was just ours.”
The Strong Looks Better Naked author also recently revealed how she managed to hide her baby bump for nearly six months. “I can’t even believe I hid my bump for as long as I did, lol,” she shared on her site. “It took a few styling sessions, serious strategy and a s–t-ton of courage, but it worked!”
Multiple sources exclusively told Us in October that the couple, who started dating in August 2016, are expecting a boy.
