Kristen Bell Reveals She Contracted ‘Anal Worms’ From Her 3-Year-Old Daughter Delta

No ifs, ands or butts, Kristen Bell tells a good story.

The actress, 37, was a guest on the Sunday, February 25, episode of The Joel McHale Show and recounted a recent battle with what she dubbed as “anal worms.”

The trouble began when Bell, who is mom of Lincoln, 4, and Delta, 3, showed up at her daughters’ preschool and noticed all the carpets had been removed from the classroom. She soon learned they were being cleaned because of a pinworm outbreak.

“Of course I immediately Googled it, and it’s like, so, so contagious,” she said.

Then Delta started itching.

“You have to monitor and you have to look in their poop,” The Good Place star explained. “And when you wipe their butt, sure enough, I wiped and saw a little white worm. I know, she’s really gross. My daughter, not the worm. The worm was gross, too.”

Shortly after, Bell started showing symptoms. “It was very itchy,” she recalled. “Fifty percent of people over 15 don’t experience symptoms, which is the itch. Your kids get them because they put their hands in their mouth and they lay eggs.”

Luckily, Bell’s husband, Dax Shepard, and Lincoln were spared of the dreaded pinworm thanks to preventive over-the-counter treatment.

There’s never a dull moment in the Bell-Shepard household. In November, the Bad Moms Christmas star recounted a story about the time Delta and Lincoln walked in on her and the CHiPs actor, 43, having sex.

“It’s how they were made! It’s OK, it’s OK, it’s how they were made,” she cracked during an appearance on The Talk. “We didn’t like, continue . . . we soft of just went like, ‘Hey, what’s up? What do you need? What do you need?’ And then we just said, ‘Mommy and daddy are going to take a nap for a couple of minutes.”
