Lauren Sánchez Bezos is not above joking about the possibility of welcoming a baby with husband Jeff Bezos.
“I would have another one tomorrow. Tomorrow,” Lauren, 56, told The New York Times in an article published on Saturday, April 11.
When the reporter inquired whether Lauren and Jeff, 62, were considering expanding their blended family, she repeated, “I would have a baby tomorrow.” The outlet noted that Lauren had a “coy smile” when she made – and reaffirmed — the comment.
A spokesperson, however, called The New York Times to clarify that Lauren was not having a baby.
The couple, who got engaged in 2023, have been candid about blending their families together throughout their high-profile relationship.
“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids,” Lauren reflected to The Wall Street Journal in 2023, “Which is always fun because you never know where the conversation is going to go with this many kids.”
Lauren shares son Nikko, 25, with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzales and son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. For Lauren, it took “about five years” for her and Gonzales’ family to be on the copacetic coparenting terms they are now. (Jeff, meanwhile, shares four children with ex-wife MacKenzie Scott.)
“I’m not saying that being best friends with your ex is the end-all be-all. But you do need to be able to communicate,” she told the outlet in 2023. “I’m so proud of it. My son looks at me, and he’s like, “I’m the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents and they don’t have to be married.”
When Lauren and Jeff tied the knot two years later in a star-studded Venice, Italy, ceremony, she made sure that her three children all had roles for their nuptials. Her sons memorably walked her down the aisle, while her daughter served as her maid of honor.
In her New York Times interview published on Saturday, Lauren reportedly became emotional while talking about the toasts her children made during the wedding.
Months after exchanging vows, Lauren commemorated a milestone moment with her son.
“Dropped off Evan at college today,” Lauren wrote via her Instagram Story in August 2025. “18 years of early mornings, late night snacks and family dinners … and then there he was building his own dorm cabinet.”
“A small thing but in that moment I saw the start of his next chapter. Proud. Heartbroken. Grateful,” she concluded, sharing an image of Evan on the floor constructing a piece of furniture.
