Self-proclaimed “Persian Princess” Lilly Ghalichi needs a crib fit for royalty. The former Shahs of Sunset star, 34, announced on Sunday, March 25, that she and her husband, Dara Mir, are expecting their first child together.
In an Instagram post, Ghalichi — clad in a skintight black dress — perches on Mir’s knee, her bump on full display. The couple, who tied the knot in May, pose on a bed littered with money, flower petals and a disco ball.
“Baby (and Daddy’s lol) first makeup party!” wrote the former Bravo personality. “I have shared so many different stages of my life with you all, from starting my first business, to being on a television show, heartbreaks, finding my true love — and now, I get to share the most special chapter of all with you, motherhood. #GhalichiGlam.”
She treated her nearly 3 million followers to more glamorous maternity shots on Monday, March 26.
“Pregnancy is the most profound experience and has shown me the true strength of women,” she captioned a series of images. “For women to be treated as anything but equal and having a girl desired any less than having a boy is completely ridiculous given that women are the creators of all life, and sacrifice so much for the lives they create. I can only hope my daughters will live in a World one day where women everywhere are respected and valued equally as men.”
Ghalichi, an attorney turned swimsuit designer, and the businessman began dating in March 2016 and got engaged that August. “I not only found my equal. He far surpasses anything I could ever be,” she gushed to Bravo at the time.
The mom-to-be decided to depart Shahs of Sunset in 2014 after two seasons on the show. “Being part of Shahs is something I will never forget,” she told Bravo upon announcing her decision. “I wish the show and all my former cast members the best.”
“My main focus always been on my businesses,” she continued. “And I am so humbled by and overwhelmed with all my projects.”
Along with her swimwear brands, Ghalichi created her own collection of eyelashes, Lilly’s Lashes. She also launched a line of of fine jewelry, the Lilly Ghalichi Collection by Avian.
