Malin Akerman loves her husband, Jack Donnelly, for billions of reasons. “I’m still floating from the wedding,” she told Us Weekly and other reporters at the recent Disney on Ice Celebrity Skating Party in Los Angeles. “It just feels like the last piece of the puzzle clicked and it feels right.”
Akerman, 40, and the British actor, 32, tied the knot in Mexico on December 1. The HBO star was previously married to Roberto Zincone The former couple split in 2013 after six year of marriage. At the time, their son, Sebastian, was 7 months old. The Sweden native would go on to raise Sebastian as a single mother.
Sebastian, who is now 5, performed an original song at a dinner the night before Akerman and Donnelly walked down the aisle. A friend of the bride and groom played along on his guitar. The tune was called “That Part of Your Heart.”
“It wasn’t just, like, a kid getting up and being cute,” Akerman explained. “It was a rock song and it was awesome. It blew everyone’s mind. After, I said, ‘Do you want to do music?’ And he goes, ‘No. I still want to be a scientist.’”
While the 27 Dresses actress isn’t sure whether a baby is in the cards for her and Donnelly, she is certain that they will live happily ever after. “It’s just, you know when you meet someone who just, without sounding cheesy, but kind of completes you,” she gushed to Us. “You don’t have to change. They bring out the best in you and vice versa. It just feels right. He’s a good, good man. Very good man.”
Sebastian feels equally at ease with Donnelly. “They’re inseparable,” Akerman told Us in October. “It makes my heart warm. I’m very glad to be bringing Jack into our lives for good.”
