A Louisiana couple treated guests to a gender reveal party they will never forget. Spoiler alert: There were no confetti–filled balloons.
Mike “T-Mike” Kliebert and Rebecca Miller, who are both trained alligator handlers, announced the sex of their unborn baby with the help of their favorite reptile. The moment was captured on camera and shared on Facebook by Mike’s mom, Melody Kliebert, on Sunday, March 25.
In the clip, Mike, 33, feeds the alligator a small watermelon. Her mouth snaps shut, and blueberry Jell-O comes pouring out, indicating that Mike and Miller are having a little boy. Family and friends are seen cheering.

The footage has been viewed more than 7 million times so far — and it also got Chrissy Teigen’s full attention. (She’s expecting baby No. 2 with husband John Legend in June, one month before Mike and Miller.)
“Aaah yes the classic jello watermelon alligator snap gender reveal,” she tweeted on Wednesday, March 28. “Who could ever get enough of these precious moments.”
The alligator — her name is Sally — has appeared in American Horror Story, Huffington Post reported Wednesday. She is set to appear in upcoming movie Louisiana Caviar starring Katharine McPhee and Richard Dreyfuss.
Meanwhile, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries does not recommend using alligators for gender reveals. “It wasn’t harmful to the animal,” a spokesperson told Huffington Post. “But we discourage and don’t condone anyone using an animal as exhibition piece. Also, it is not wise to have a dangerous animal in such a demonstration so close to humans, especially children.
