Best dressed baby! Michael Phelps’ 3-month-old son, Boomer, has been stealing the show during the 2016 Rio Olympics by imitating his dad’s menacing stare and rocking some amazing patriotic outfits.
“He’s going to have some cool outfits on, that’s for sure. You’ve got to check him out,” the 23-time Olympic gold medalist told reporters back on August 3, before the opening ceremony. “I’ve gotten some photos of him — Boomer will be dressed to impress in the stands, that’s for sure.”
Boomer’s wardrobe certainly didn’t disappoint. Phelps’ fiancée, Nicole Johnson, brought the infant to several of his dad’s races throughout the Olympics, and each time, the little guy wore a brand new red, white and blue ensemble.
The 3-month-old even has his own (verified!) Instagram account, where he shows off his Olympics outfit of the day.
For the first day of swimming events at the 2016 Games, Boomer showed the world that he may grow up to be a second-generation Olympian by wearing a shirt featuring the words “Gold Medal Athlete,” along with red shorts and gold booties. “@coach_bowman I’m ready to go after my daddy re retires #teamusa #dreams,” the caption read on the August 6 post.
The following day, Boomer looked even happier rocking the first of several customized outfits. His tiny shirt was branded with his dad’s initials, MP, and he wore the most adorable mini Converse sneakers.
