Milo Ventimiglia and his wife, Jarah Mariano, are officially parents of two babies under the age of 2.
“These last couple of weeks have been chaos, but in the best possible way,” Mariano, 42, wrote via Instagram on Monday, July 6. “Welcome back home Rock-Anthony Makoa Ventimiglia. Can’t wait for all of the adventures ahead with our family of 5!”
The model shared a black-and-white photo of her family holding hands, as well as a snap of herself and Ventimiglia, 48, holding their children.
Us Weekly confirmed in January that Ventimiglia and Mariano — who quietly tied the knot in 2023 — were expecting their second baby after she debuted her bump in a 1st birthday tribute to daughter Ke’ala.
“Happy 1 year, baby girl. When you came into my life I had two distinct thoughts, one immediately after the other — I would die for you in a heartbeat, but now I also have to live as long as I possibly can to be around to make sure you’re safe,” Mariano wrote via Instagram at the time. “This is the most unique love I’ve ever experienced, just as unique of a soul you are.”
She added, “In a world with so much fear and hatred, I know that you will bring your radiating light everywhere you go to make it a better and brighter place for those around you. I love you Ke’ala Coral, forever.”
In the accompanying photo, Mariano held her daughter above her while standing in the ocean in a bikini, which showed off her pregnant belly.
The following month, Ventimiglia broke his silence on his and Mariano’s impending arrival, joking during a February appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the couple “must be crazy” to have two babies back to back.
“Got a beautiful daughter. She’s wonderful. What day is it?” he quipped while revealing how he was adjusting to first-time fatherhood. “Thursday, wonderful. It’s the same as Wednesday or Tuesday, yeah. They’re all the same. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.”
Ventimiglia noted that Ke’ala was a good sleeper, but he and Mariano couldn’t help but fret over her anyway.
“She’s actually doing great. She’s sleeping through the night. She loves to wake up at 5:40 in the morning and talk to herself, kinda jabber on and whatnot. My wife and I are lying in bed like, ‘Does she have her [pacifier]?’ ‘I don’t know. I can’t tell from the monitor.’ ‘Did she poop herself?’ ‘I don’t know. I can’t tell from the monitor,’” he explained. “And then you’re kind of like, after a certain period of time, you know this. You walk in there, you’re like, well, she didn’t poop herself, and she’s got her [pacifier], so the world’s good.”
While Ventimiglia had high expectations for himself as a dad, he admitted to modifying his standards a bit after an overwhelming year that included losing his home to the January 2025 California wildfires just weeks before Ke’ala was born.
“Listen, my wife is the most unbelievable — Jarah, if you’re watching, you are the most unbelievable human being, creature, species of everything. She handles everything great. But, you know, I mean, when you’re a first parent too, you kind of think you’re going to be this wonder parent,” he explained. “I was striving to. I’m like, ‘Cool, man. I’m going to be the healthiest. We’re going to feed this baby organic. We’re going to buy blenders, do all this stuff. We’re going to go argue with some dude named Kale about blueberries at the farmers’ market.’ Then, after a while, you’re like, ‘Oh, man, we had quite a year.’”
Ventimiglia also acknowledged his fears about becoming a father of two.
“You saw me hard swallow, right? I hard-swallowed,” he said. “Now I know it’s coming. But at a certain point, don’t they start to entertain each other?”
