Amy Schumer has six more months left in her pregnancy. But the 37-year-old comedian, who is expecting her first child in the spring, joked that some people have been asking her, “Are you crowning yet?”
The I Feel Pretty actress opened up about tight clothes — she’s been struggling to zipper jackets — and first trimester morning sickness — it was “nonstop” puking — as she entertained fans at A Night With Amy Schumer in New York on Sunday, October 28. During the event, which benefited Liuba Grechen Shirley’s campaign for Congress, Schumer also revealed she was initially hormonal and “incredibly mean” to her husband, Chris Fischer.
But Fischer, 38, took the mood swings in stride. “I married a chef because I’m a f—king genius,” the mom-to-be declared, adding that if she’s craving penne alla vodka, The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook author heads to the kitchen.
Schumer announced she has a bun in the oven on October 23, just days after Kensington Palace shared the news that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry will be welcoming a baby. And the Trainwreck star keeps poking fun at the differences between their pregnancies. On Sunday, Schumer quipped that “it’s not fun to be pregnant at the same time as Meghan Markle” and that the former Suits actress has a “cute bump.”
Throughout the performance, Schumer nursed a bottle of Poland Spring water and at one point, stood and ate takeout food! She began her set by rubbing her belly and stating, “So, I’m pregnant.”
Schumer and the James Beard Award winner tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in February. The couple dated for just months before becoming husband and wife.
