Comedian Amy Schumer got her big break in 2007 when she competed on the NBC series Last Comic Standing. The New York native went on to produce, direct and star in her own comedy series, Inside Amy Schumer, from 2013 to 2016.
Schumer made her big screen debut in 2015’s Trainwreck, which she coproduced and wrote. She has since starred and produced Snatched, Thank You For Your Service and I Feel Pretty. She also headlined numerous stand-up specials, including 2019’s Amy Schumer: Growing on Netflix. She will star, write and produce the upcoming series Love, Beth.
In February 2016, Schumer released her memoir, Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo. Two years later, she married chef Chris Fischer after a few months of dating. The pair welcomed their first child, son Gene, in May 2019.
Schumer teamed up with her husband amid the coronavirus pandemic in May 2020 to create Amy Schumer Learns to Cook for the Food Network. Each episode featured the comedian getting tips and tricks on how to make easy recipes at home from Fischer.
