Chrissy Teigen really does have it all — including a doting husband who spoils her while she’s pregnant!
The Lip Sync Battle host, 32, spoke with Us Weekly at the Vita Coco Coconutmilk Brunch in West Hollywood, on Wednesday, January 24, where she revealed that her husband of five years, John Legend, has been “so good” to her while she’s pregnant with their second child. The happy couple are already parents to Luna, 21 months.
The Cravings author, who is hard at work on her next cookbook, explained how the “All Of Me” singer, 39, has been taking care of her. “So I finished the cookbook a couple weeks ago and now I’m just editing. I’m not necessarily in the mood to cook these elaborate dinners right now, like, I was cooking all day, every day, for two years, I’m kind of tired and pregnant. I was pregnant for the last cookbook, too, but he really loves to cook, like he really takes over.”
“The only thing I don’t like about him cooking is that it takes me away from him for a long time because he’s very slow in the kitchen — like painfully slow,” the model continued. “And sometimes I can hear him from the living room chopping and it’s like, [makes cutting sounds], but it’s so cute because he loves to do it, so I can’t be mad at him.”
As for whether date nights have changed for Teigen and the R&B singer, she also told Us, “We, of course, end up talking about Luna a lot. We never thought we’d be those people, but it’s weird because you kind of have to make a conscious decision if you’re, like, on a date night or a couple’s date with somebody, not to be that way, especially if they don’t have kids, but if it’s just us two … yeah, it’s fun.”
Teigen also revealed that some of their best date nights aren’t always spent hitting the town. “It’s still nice to be alone for sure, but Luna has a really great bedtime scheduling and everything, so even there’s date nights at home. 6:30 she’s out, she’s asleep, so after that, you know, we start cooking dinner and watching TV together and, yeah, we have date night.”
“I think we’re lucky enough that she’s a sleeper, like everyone in my family, so we’re lucky,” she added.
As previously reported, Teigen announced she and Legend are expanding their family with an adorable Instagram video in November 2017. In the sweet clip, she asked Luna, “What’s in here?” as she exposed her belly, prompting the toddler to respond excitedly, “BB!”
