Claire Danes is gracefully taking being pregnant with her second child in stride — despite feeling, well, “pretty knocked up at this point.”
“I am definitely with child. No, I feel OK. I’ve been doing a bit of traveling and tap dancing, as I call it, which is my term for letting people know that I’ve been making work and encourage them to see it,” the My So-Called Life alum, 39, told Us Weekly and other reporters at the Homeland FYC event on Tuesday, June 5. “Pretty soon I get to retire for a little while and just be pregnant, which I look forward to.”

As for dealing with pesky pregnancy cravings, Danes jokes that she doesn’t discriminate, telling Us, “I welcome all of the food.”
Danes and husband Hugh Dancy — who are keeping the child’s gender a secret — are already parents of son Cyrus, 5. Danes announced she was pregnant during an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show in April, saying, “I am pregnant. I’m seriously preggo … I’m deep into my second trimester.”
The Romeo + Juliet star, who will say goodbye to Homeland after its final seventh season, plans to enjoy her time away from the set with her family. “It feels like a huge luxury,” she admitted. “When I was pregnant with my first son, Cyrus, I worked until I was in my eighth month so this feels like a huge gift, to have a chance to kick my feet up a little bit.”
For now, however, Danes, is busy prompting her new movie A Kid Like Jake. She plays a mom of a transgender child in the Silas Howard-directed movie opposite Jim Parsons. “Every role I play is influenced by my own experiences, but I thought it was a really beautifully written story and just a wonderful portrait of a marriage and a family,” she told Us. “I was just thrilled to be working with that level of talent, behind and in front of the camera, so it was a great joy.”
