Jessica Simpson went all out for her March 18 baby shower — and now she’s giving her fans an inside look at the special event.
The pregnant Fashion Star mentor, 31, uploaded a video to her official website Thursday. “Creating a family is the best thing I’ve done in my life,” Simpson wrote in one photo caption. “I really hope I can be half as good of a mom as my mom has been to me.”
Organized by celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss, “it was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies,” a source told Us Weekly in March. “Jessica Alba brought her baby Haven, 8 months, and Ashlee Simpson brought Bronx, 3.”
As guests like Ellen Pompeo noshed on Simpson’s favorite Southern foods — including fried Oreos and Twinkies — the Southern star “seemed completely ecstatic,” an eyewitness told Us. The event was inspired by the children’s story Charlotte’s Web.
In the video above, Simpson’s fiance Eric Johnson sits beside her as they open up gifts for their little girl. The two will welcome their first child together within the next few weeks.
