Kate Hudson is nine months pregnant and ready to meet her baby girl. “I can’t walk,” the 39-year-old admitted in an Instagram Story video on Monday, September 24. While pouring over a copy of her pal Reese Witherspoon’s new book Whiskey in a Teacup, Hudson then wondered if alcohol might be the key to inducing labor.
“Listen, Reese is my neighbor. Just bring the whiskey, I don’t need the teacup,” Hudson teased. She added: “I figure a little shot of whiskey can put me into labor.”
In the clip, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress drooled over a recipe for a mint julep. “See that guy, the mint julep . . . but I can’t,” Hudson said pointing to a picture of the cocktail.
The star and her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa, announced in April that they are expecting their first child together. Their bundle of joy will join Hudson’s sons Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 7, from previous relationships with Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively.
Just days away from her due date, Hudson and the musician, 32, have been busy unwrapping presents. Hudson’s pals — including Erin and Sara Foster — organized a beautiful backyard shower on Sunday. “Grateful for these beauties throwing me the sweetest celebration for baby girl yesterday,” Hudson wrote on Instagram. “#WeReady.”
In April, a source told Us Weekly that Hudson feels Fujikawa was born to be a father. “She is so happy for Danny and can’t wait for him to experience having a child of his own,” the source shared. “She already knows this little lady will be a very lucky daddy’s girl.”
