It’s official: Jacqueline Laurita is a grandma! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s daughter, Ashlee Holmes, gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday, August 30.
Holmes, 25, and her fiancé, Pete Malleo, welcomed a son named Cameron Hendrix Malleo. Laurita announced the happy news with an adorable Instagram photo of the baby.
“Welcome Cameron Hendrix Malleo ! Born at 5:20pm ! He’s going to go get a bath and get weighed now!” she wrote alongside his first photo. BravoTV.com/The Daily Dish was first to break the news.
Laurita, 46, revealed on Monday that Holmes was in labor. “Oh my!” she tweeted. “@ashleeholmes water broke!! We are so excited!”
Holmes announced in March that she and Malleo were expecting their first child together. “@c3peteo and I are so happy to announce that we’re sprouting a little kernel of our own coming this fall!!!” she captioned an Instagram pic of the couple.
The RHONJ vet was just as elated about the news. “Yes, that’s right! I’m going to be a #Glamma!” Laurita wrote on her personal Instagram account.
Laurita opened up about her daughter’s pregnancy in July. “I think I’m the first New Jersey housewife to become a glamma … I keep saying my tubes are cut, tied, and burnt, so I’m using her uterus now,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “Our relationship has come full circle. During those strong-willed teen years to now, I feel like we’ve come such a long way.”
