Sara Gilbert is pregnant! The Talk co-host announced that she and her wife, rock songwriter-producer Linda Perry, are expecting their first child together during the CBS show on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Gilbert told her fellow costars that she would not be facing her fear of a cinderblock being broken on her stomach during their "Face Your Fears" week. "Before we go I just want to say I'm actually not going to do the dare," she said. "I was scared to do it and I really believe in facing your fears," she continued, "but I actually can't do the dare because I'm pregnant."
At that, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood — along with the audience — began to freak out.
The Roseanne alum, 39, and Perry, 49, tied the knot in March with her Talk colleagues and actress Juliette Lewis in attendance, among others. Gilbert previously gushed about the singer's sweet proposal during the daytime talk show.
"I'm sitting there listening and I'm kind of daydreaming and I'm thinking like, 'If I ever proposed to her this would be an amazing way to do it,'" she recalled in April 2013. "The people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket, walk over and they start playing [The Cure's] 'Lovesong.'"
The former child star came out as gay in 2010. She and ex-partner Alison Adler share son Levi, 9, and daughter Sawyer, 7.
