The Lowe-down on parenting! It’s been three weeks since Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici welcomed their son, Isaiah, and their washing machine is in overdrive.
“I don’t think I’ve gone through the day wearing one clean shirt because I’m constantly spit up on,” Lowe, who partnered with the Banfield Foundation, recently told Us Weekly. Isaiah also goes through multiple wardrobe changes, which is why the the former Bachelor star always packs an extra onesie in his diaper bag.
“When you have an infant, change of clothes is No. 1 because they will blow out their diaper!” the 34-year-old told Us, noting that it “happens every time” they leave the house.
Lowe and Giudici, who fell in love and got engaged on The Bachelor season 17, are also parents of 23-month-old Samuel. The Dancing With the Stars alum teased that his secret to getting a baby to stop crying is “pass him to his mom.”
He continued: “Has he been fed? Does he have a clean diaper? Other than that, Catherine do you magic!”
When asked about rough parenting moments, Lowe admitted “sleep-deprivation can be tough” but he can’t really complain. “Catherine is definitely bearing the brunt of most of it,” he told Us. “She’s breast-feeding.”
In the moments when Samuel is “screaming” because he needs a nap and Isaiah is crying because he’s hungry, Lowe simply takes a deep breath. “It can wear on your nerves. But I think, ‘It’s OK. They’re just kids,” he said. “It’s all going to work out.”
