Clearing the air. Model Stormi Bree is catching some heat after fans thought she was throwing shade at Kylie Jenner after the reality star announced that she had named her newborn daughter Stormi.
The 27-year-model shared a black-and-white Instagram photo on Tuesday, February 6, just two hours after Jenner, 20, revealed her daughter’s name. In the photo, Bree looks grumpy, and she captioned the photo: “Current mood” with a black spider emoji.
Jenner posted a photo of her little girl on Tuesday. “Stormi,” she captioned the picture of her hand holding the infant’s, adding the angel emoji. She then edited the caption, adding boyfriend Travis Scott’s last name: “Stormi Webster.”
Some followers commented on Bree’s post to ask if she was throwing shade at the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, while others came to the model’s defense. One Instagram user wrote: “Immature af lol we’re getting mad at people who share names with us now? How are you throwing shade at a child 😂 grow up.”
Another wrote: “She is a model her job is to model so what shade? and please don’t make assumptions up if you are new to her account she posts a bunch of pictures like these.”
Bree, who welcomed daughter Gravity Blue Smith six months ago with model Lucky Blue Smith, then cleared the air by editing her caption to say: “Goodness gracious that was bad caption timing lol.”
As previously reported, Jenner welcomed her daughter with the rapper on February 1. The reality star, who never confirmed her pregnancy, announced the birth on Sunday, February 4, with a lengthy Instagram post.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys,” she wrote. “My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how … pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life-changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it.”
The new mom also shared a super sweet 11-minute video with footage that chronicled her pregnancy journey through the past nine months.
