Kylie Jenner revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday, February 4, that she’d given birth to a baby girl — her first child with boyfriend Travis Scott.
The news came as a shock to followers who’d been waiting months for the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star to actually confirm that she was pregnant. Instead, the 20-year-old broke the news that she’d welcomed a “beautiful and healthy baby girl” on February 1.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,” the new mom wrote in her post. “I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how. there was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal i had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”
The Lip Kit maven also shared an 11-minute video that chronicled the past nine months of her pregnancy, culminating in a clip of her holding her newborn baby.
Needless to say, for some fans out there this revelation eclipsed the other big news of the day: the Super Bowl.
“i know it’s super bowl sunday and all, BUT NONE OF THAT MATTERS BECAUSE KYLIE JENNER OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED HER PREGNANCY,” one person tweeted.
“I kid you not I’ve just proper ‘ ugly Kim cried’ at the video for #Kylie’s daughter,” another wrote.
