Baby on board! Tori Bates is pregnant and expecting her first child with her husband, Bobby Smith, Us Weekly exclusively confirms.
The Bringing Up Bates star, 22, is due in the fall. She has experienced “severe” morning sickness, but is looking forward to finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl, according to a Bates family insider.
“We’re having a baby! We are thrilled that God has blessed us with this amazing privilege, and we cannot wait to meet our precious little gift from Him,” the reality TV star exclusively tells Us Weekly. “We’re on the edge of our seats to see whether it’s a boy or a girl!”
Bates has had plenty to celebrate as of late. Earlier this week, she graduated from The Crown College of the Bible in Powell, Tennessee, with a degree in education.
The parents-to-be were first introduced by a mutual friend in 2015. They began courting in November 2016 and became engaged the following September at Wiseman’s View in North Carolina.
Bates and Smith tied the knot in December at the Calvary Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. Their guests included family, friends and the Duggar family.
The couple documented their wedding for the April 26 episode of the Bates family’s UPtv reality series. The bride adorably giggled throughout her vows, which was officiated by her father, Gil Bates.
“It was embarrassing. And then I was just like, I can’t believe this is happening on my wedding day! Of course it would,” Tori recalled on the show. “The whole wedding, I was just honestly trying to make everything so perfect and do everything so perfect and, you know, when I started laughing, it’s just not me to be perfect.”
