Taking it day by day. Yolanda Foster addressed the pain of her divorce from David Foster in a new Instagram post on Sunday, Dec. 13.
“Note to self,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 51, captioned an image of this inspirational quote: “Sometimes your heart needs more time to accept what your mind already knows.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, the former model’s music producer husband urged Foster to announce their split on Dec. 1.
“It didn’t make sense to stay together,” a source told Us, adding that David, 66, pushed for the divorce himself, despite his ex-wife wanting to stay together. The insider also added David felt their union “wasn’t a marriage.”
Last week, Gigi Hadid’s mom opened up about her divorce from her husband of four years.
“We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever,” Yolanda told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, Dec. 8. “Unfortunately, it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way.”
The Dutch-born star alluded to her battle with Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2012, and how her condition affected her marriage.
“Chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging, not only for the person that’s sick, but also for the caregiver,” she admitted. “It for sure changed the dynamic of our relationship.”
The reality star also assured Cohen that despite everything, she was in better spirits.
“I am much better,” she said. “I have about 60 percent better brain function than I did in the last year. I can still only live and plan one day at a time. I will continue to fight for a full recovery.”
