Cory Wharton's Daughter Ryder Joins Pregnancy Shoot With Taylor Selfridge: See the Photos

A happy, blended family. Teen Mom OG's Cory Wharton and Taylor Selfridge took Us Weekly along for their pregnancy photoshoot, where his 2-year-old daughter, Ryder, also joined them. Selfridge, 25, is 11 weeks along, she and Wharton, 28, revealed exclusively to Us in the latest issue. Wharton shares his first daughter with ex-girlfriend Cheyenne Floyd; however, he didn't know he was Ryder's father until she was 6 months old, so he can't wait to be hands-on every step of the way with his second child. "For me, this is like my first baby, almost, as weird as that sounds," the Challenge vet tells Us. There's also an additional emotional element added since Ryder is affected by VLCAD, a genetic disorder that prevents her from properly breaking down certain fats into energy. "They think that I’m a carrier for VLCAD, because my daughter has it," Wharton explains. "We just need to make sure that she’s not a carrier. The next test is genetic testing. The pair have had been on and off for the last two years, but have only gotten closer since finding out their family is growing. "We’re going to have to deal with each other for the rest of our lives, you know? If we like each other, if we stay together, if we decide to coparent, if we decide to get married ... whatever it is, we have to be able to communicate," he explains. Pleasantly Surprised

The pregnancy was "definitely a surprise" the couple said, revealing that she was actually on birth control at the time.

Ryder was "the first one" the couple told about the pregnancy. "We just made sure that she’s been a part of it ever since we found out," he says. "She’s so happy in her own world. She's playing doctor right now! She’s unbothered."

Big Sis

"She's super excited" to be a big sister, Wharton notes. "She's going to love it!"

Blended

While the model was nervous about how Floyd would react to the news, Wharton "never got that vibe" and his ex couldn't have been more supportive, asking if they needed any help with doctors.

Hands-On Dad

Wharton plans to be in the delivery room with his girlfriend, they tell Us. "I’m excited. I know I’m going to cry. It's going to be a heavy moment," he admits.

Proud Papa

Both Selfridge and Wharton's mothers cried when they shared the news with them. "They're super happy," she says. "I think both of my parents cried!"

The Power of a Name

The pregnancy has already made the couple "100 percent closer," Selfridge says. Plus, they're already talking about names. "My mom's psycho, like sending all types of suggestions," he laughs. She replies, "Yeah, she sent me a few ... but I don't like any of them!"

Focusing on Now

While they do plan to find out the gender, they want to "wait a little bit" first. "I want this to be a happy moment for Taylor, I want this to be a happy moment for me," he says.

That said, the Real World alum admits, "I just think it would be cool to have two daughters."

What's Next?

When it comes to possibly taking the next step, the duo is taking it day by day. "One thing at a time," she says. He then replies, "You asked about marriage and my armpits are full of sweat!"

Finding What Works

During the last Teen Mom OG reunion, Selfridge revealed it upset her that Wharton never expressed his feelings, but they've been working on that. "I tell her I love you now. I'm doing a little better," he notes. Selfridge then comes to his defense: "He tells me he does, I know he does, I don’t need him to tell me every day. It makes him nervous!"
