There was something in the water in 2015. Everyone from Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick to Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck called it quits on their relationships this past year.
Even Bachelor fans were bummed out this past May when season 19 hottie Chris Soules and his fiancée, Whitney Bischoff, ended their engagement just two months after the finale aired. In a statement to Us Weekly at the time, the couple explained they “mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement.”
Splits that weren’t as mutual? The cheating scandals that surrounded Affleck and Garner, as well as Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani.
After 10 years of marriage and three kids, Affleck and Garner announced they were divorcing this past June. Us was first to reveal that their children’s former nanny Christine Ouzounian was an alleged major point of tension. Similarly, Stefani and Rossdale called it quits in August after 13 years of marriage. Us exclusively revealed that Rossdale had been cheating on Stefani for years with their sons’ nanny, Mindy Mann.
Disick and Kardashian also surprised fans when they broke up in July after nine years together when the self-proclaimed Lord was caught getting too close to ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli in the South of France over the summer. Kardashian and Disick are parents to three children.
